QFIRS Lecture Week 2

QFIRS jointly organized Lecture Week with IMPRS-GW and TerraQ RTG

QuantumFrontiers International Research School together with IMPRS-GW and TerraQ oranized the second Lecture Week of this year in October 4-8, 2021.

PhD students from different groups got together and learned basics of laser interferometry, quantum computing, and relativistic geodesy. This Lecture Week programme included Science Communication workshops led by professional trainers. The PhD students formed interdisciplinary teams and worked on various projects.

One of our QF PhD students guided the participants to a laboratory tour of the 10 m Prototype Interferometer at the AEI and a team of GEO600 including a QF PhD student and QF postdocs made a laboratory tour. The Lecture Week ended with a guided tour of Hannover, where participants learned how the Leibniz Universität Hannover has expanded and how the city has developed.
