Explore light and matter at the quantum frontier with us. For this purpose we bring together internationally leading experts from six institutions in the fields of quantum and nanometrology. Here you can find the current open positions of the QuantumFrontiers consortium at Leibniz Universität Hannover, TU Braunschweig, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (AEI), Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. and the University of Bremen (ZARM).

Professorship positions (W1 and W3)

QuEEP is unique! It stands for "QuantumFrontiers Entrepreneur Excellence Programme".

QuEEP aims to transfer the research results obtained within QuantumFrontiers into economically viable ideas that can be exploited within start-ups. QuEEP is about closing the gap between (basic) research and the product that can actually be acquired in monetary terms.

What can QuEEP offer:

  • Financial support for a proportionate project office
  • Financial support for material resources
  • ideal support during the foundation by an experienced team.

To apply for support, a 5-page application must be submitted - the deadline for submission is 8 May 2019.

Early Career Researcher and PostDoc Positions

A core goal of QuantumFrontiers is to offer long-term academic career perspectives to early career Researchers (tenure-track professorial positions, tenure-track independent group leader positions, permanent academic staff scientist positions, and the QuantumFrontiers Entrepreneur Excellence Programme – QuEEP) that are tailored to your ambitions. You can expect to find extensive support within QuantumFrontiers and at the universities and partner institutions to get your career on the best track.

PhD Positions

QuantumFrontiers PhDs are active members of the QuantumFrontiers International Research School (QFIRS), where they regularly interact with a full range of quantum-nanometrology colleagues and topics, and build long-lasting international networks.
