Sharing Science (SSC)

The Sharing Science (SSC) research area addresses the societal and educational implications of quantum research and technology. SSC projects strengthen explanatory competencies, explore new outreach formats, and research historical and societal aspects of quantum technologies. This approach requires insights from the fields of physics, social sciences, and educational sciences.

• Enhance understanding and communication of quantum concepts through research on explanatory competences and effective outreach formats.
• Examine historical and societal perspectives of quantum technologies for a deeper understanding of the field.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to enrich our assessment and promotion of the technological impact of quantum research. 

Our commitment to Sharing Science encompasses not just research, but also direct applications in outreach and science communication, such as our “The Arts meet Quantum” program. We prioritise the training of early-career researchers, ensuring that these initiatives are underpinned by scientifically validated and empirically-based research. Through SSC, we aim to facilitate dialogue with society and enhance public engagement with quantum science.
