"Through the World with Einstein"
At the end of each school year, the University of Bremen invites pupils to take part in summer academies for a week. On three days of this week, the pupils work intensively on specific scientific topics. On the fourth day, they prepare a presentation and on the last day, the participants of the various summer academies present their results.
Since 2022, the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) is successfully running the summer academy "Through the World with Einstein". During this academy, a group of ten to twelve pupils discover the physics behind time, gravity and black holes and learn about the concepts of special and general relativity. To present the results of the week, the pupils produce a film with the help of a media agency. In it, they summarise the content of the academy, write a script and sometimes even turn the Bremen drop tower into a rocket.
