The TG Electron Microscopy bundles the research and rich infrastructure of the cluster, related to sample characterization with electrons.

Contributions to QuantumFrontiers

  • Coordination for EM characterization capabilities at LUH, PTB and TUBS
  • Stimulated exchange of ideas between the members of the TG
  • Development of scalable methods for structure determination of nanostructures in 1, 2, and 3 dimensions: nano-LEDs, single photon emitters and plasmonic nanostructures, as well as on optical centers in diamond
  • Calibration of nanometric lengths LENA electron microscopy group has by now provided characterization and/or structuring services to more than 20 departments of TUBS, PTB and LUH
  • LNQE provides TEM in application operation following training for over ten working groups of LUH and TUBS
